Fitness, it's great for our bodies and mind. Working out about 2 to 3 days a week is defintely great for you ! Always remember to stay active as much as possible, but I have a question for you. Are you working out mostly because you want to stay in shape, and be healthy, or are you working out because you are looking for a nice, shmexy body, so people will be looking at you ? Looking forward in staying healthy, and working out to have eyes on you are two different things, and it may impact your body and mind negatively.
First off, working out to have eyes on you is very stressful. You are mostly going to ask yourself if your excersices are working or not. Not only that, but the pressure you are going to put on yourself is going to be very intense ! That's when people start overdoing their excersoces, adding reps and sets to their workout although it's not safe. This is actually very dangerous though, because it may cause injuries and more self-doubt. Overdoing workouts may also cause to becoming anorexic, especially if you eat very little, and decided not to eat att all, or you decide to just discipline yourself to eat a meal a day, which is definetly NOT healthy. The media tells us taht being skinny is far more attractive than being average weight or just slightly curvy, and that's not true ! If one constantly works out and doesn't consume enough calories, the body will burn most of the calories that it needs, which may result in anorexia. Anorexia is a serious mental illness where people are of low weight due to limiting their energy intakes, according to beateatingdisorders.org. Anorexia is beasically just being scared to gain weighjt. One can look at themselves in the mirror, and may be super thin, but they see themselves to be very fat, that's how anotrexia plays with one's mind. Anorexia is very dangerous, as for the result may be death. It is extremely serious, and if you are dealing with it right now, look for help immediately.
As for Anorexia being a serious issue with working out a lot, just working out too much may be very unhealthy for your muscles and bones. Working out too much may lead to the following:
-
Decreased performance
-
Disinterest in excersices
-
Mood changes, may also lead to depression
-
Delayed recovery time
-
Fatigue
-
Insomnia
-
Weakened immune system
-
Injuries
All this is not good for you ! If you notice that you are getting these symptoms, I suggest to decrease the amount of days you workout, and rest more. Your muscles need as much rest than work for your workouts to even work. Resting days are very important for your muscles to recover. Always have about 2 to 3 days of resting days to let your muscles recover.
Sociam media pushes us to do things we can't even imagine ourselves doing. Just looking at a simple picture may have such an effect on us which may result in us doing the craziest things in our lives ! Social media is an amazing invention, don't get me wrong, but it does hurt us somtimes. That's why it's important to talk about your problems with trusted ones, to release the pain and worries.
