Body Image

According to psychalive.org, body image is the perception that a person has of their physical self and the thoughts and feelings that result from that perception. These feelings can be postive, negative, or both, and are both influenced individual and environmental factors. Body image is is determined by 3 facors. They are listed in the following:

1. First Factor: How one sees their body is body image. This isn't actually how they actually look. One example can be, one can see themselves as fat, but they are actually average weight. This is usally because of the satisfaction one has with their body, and their dissatisfaction. 

2. Second Factor:  The way one THINKS about their body is also body image. This may lead to preoccupation with weight and body shape.

3. Third Factor: Behaviors in which you engage as a result of your body image encompass your behavioral body image. When one is dissatisfied with the way he/she looks, they may separate themselves from the world, just because of their weight or body size.
